What this adapter powers

The ABLEGRID 9V AC-DC adapter is built for the Electro-Harmonix Superego+ synth engine multi-effect pedal. It converts mains voltage into the DC power the unit requires, using a barrel tip connector that matches the original specification.

Who it suits and who it does not

Guitarists and keyboard players who need a replacement or spare mains supply for the Superego+ will find 101% compatibility with the original adapter. Buyers whose pedal requires a different voltage, polarity or tip size should look elsewhere because this unit is fixed at 9V output with a specific barrel connector.

How it fits into a rig

The adapter accepts AC 100-240V at 50-60Hz for worldwide use and includes over-voltage and over-heat protection for safe continuous operation. It plugs directly into a wall outlet or power strip, freeing a pedalboard power supply from having to provide a dedicated 9V tap for this effect.

Questions about this item

Does the adapter require any specific mains voltage to power the Electro-Harmonix Superego+?

It accepts AC 100-240V at 50-60Hz, so it works on mains supplies worldwide without a separate voltage selector.

Will the barrel tip fit the Superego+ if I am replacing an original supply with the same connector size?

The tip is a barrel type; you must verify the DC output voltage and tip dimensions match the original unit before connecting.

How can I confirm the adapter is operating correctly once plugged into the pedal?

The Superego+ should power on normally; the adapter includes over-voltage and over-heat protection that will shut it down if a fault occurs.
