What this charger replaces

This ABLEGRID AC adapter is a non-OEM replacement for the RM Mobile One Widescreen T12AR laptop. It accepts worldwide AC input from 100 to 240 volts at 50 to 60 hertz and delivers DC power through a barrel tip connector. The unit includes over-voltage and over-heat protection and carries CE, FCC and RoHS certification.

Who should buy it and who should not

It suits owners of the specified RM laptop who need a spare or replacement mains charger. Buyers who cannot confirm the exact DC output voltage, current rating or barrel tip dimensions should look elsewhere, as the adapter will not work if those values do not match the original unit.

Installing and common issues

Installation is straightforward: connect the supplied power cable to the adapter, plug the barrel tip firmly into the laptop and insert the mains plug into a wall socket. Ensure the area around the brick stays ventilated during extended use. The most frequent problem is ordering the wrong tip size or output specification, so verify both details before purchasing.

Questions about this item

What laptop model must I already own for this charger to work?

The charger is built for the RM Mobile One Widescreen T12AR, so that exact laptop must be the one you are powering.

Will the adapter run safely alongside the original power brick I keep as a spare?

Yes, it accepts the same AC 100-240 V input at 50-60 Hz and includes over-voltage and over-heat protection, so it can be swapped with the original unit without electrical conflict.

How can I verify the charger is operating correctly after I connect it?

When the barrel tip is seated and the AC cable is plugged into a live outlet, the laptop should show it is charging and the adapter body should stay only warm, not hot, thanks to the built-in heat protection.
