Replacement charger for WD power supplies

This ABLEGRID AC adapter replaces the WD ADS-24S-12 and 1224GPCU models for users who need a fresh mains supply. It accepts worldwide AC input from 100 to 240 volts at 50 to 60 hertz and delivers DC output through a barrel tip connector. The unit is intended for owners of compatible WD devices who have lost or damaged the original power brick.

Non-OEM build with safety protections

The charger is manufactured as a non-OEM replacement and carries CE, FCC and RoHS certifications. Over-voltage and over-heat protection circuits are integrated to guard the connected equipment during extended use. A barrel-tip connector means the user must verify tip dimensions match the device before plugging in, and adequate ventilation is recommended for long sessions.

Single adapter in the package

The box contains one new AC-DC adapter power charger and no additional cables or mounting hardware. No software or driver installation is required; the unit operates as a direct plug-in power source. Buyers who need a spare cable, alternative tip sizes or a multi-port charging hub will not find those items included.

Questions about this item

What input voltage range does the ABLEGRID AC adapter accept?

The adapter accepts AC 100-240V at 50-60Hz, so it works worldwide without a voltage converter.

What connector tip does this charger use, and how do I confirm it fits my WD device?

It uses a barrel tip; verify that your WD ADS-24S-12 or 1224GPCU requires the same DC output and barrel size before ordering.

How do I install the adapter safely, and what common mistake should I avoid?

Plug the AC cord into a mains outlet, connect the barrel tip to the device, and ensure adequate ventilation — do not place the adapter on soft surfaces that trap heat.
