What This Adapter Powers

The ABLEGRID AC adapter supplies DC power to Celestron Nexstar telescopes from a standard wall outlet. It accepts worldwide AC input between 100 and 240 volts at 50 or 60 hertz. The barrel tip connector must match the telescope’s DC jack before use. This unit is a non‑OEM replacement built to CE, FCC and RoHS standards.

How It Fits In Your Setup

Plug the adapter into mains power and connect the barrel tip to the telescope’s power port. No battery pack or separate transformer is required, freeing the mount from portable cells during long observing sessions. Verify the output polarity and tip dimensions on your device label before ordering. The unit is not suitable for equipment with a different connector or voltage requirement.

Behaviour During Extended Use

Built‑in over‑voltage and over‑heat protection activate if the supply runs continuously under load. Keep the adapter in a ventilated area and away from heat‑trapping surfaces during multi‑hour sessions. The 792% compatibility claim reflects the manufacturer’s internal testing against the original specification. Stop use immediately if the housing becomes unusually hot or emits an odour.
