AC Adapter for Comcast Gateways

This ABLEGRID AC adapter replaces the original power supply for Comcast SBG6700AC, SBG6580, SB6120, SB6121 and SB6141 gateways. It delivers DC output through a barrel tip connector and accepts worldwide AC input from 100 to 240 volts at 50 to 60 hertz. The unit is a non-OEM replacement built to match the original specifications. It includes over-voltage and over-heat protection for safe operation.

Fits Directly Into Existing Setup

The adapter plugs straight into the gateway's power port and a standard mains socket, requiring no extra cables or modifications. It frees you from hunting for a discontinued OEM brick when the original fails or goes missing. A single unit in the box keeps the install simple and the cable run tidy. Verify the DC output rating and barrel tip dimensions on your device label before connecting.

Powers Listed Models Reliably

The adapter comfortably handles the power draw of the five supported Comcast gateway models during continuous operation. It runs out of headroom if you attempt to power devices with higher current demands or a different connector polarity. The 499 percent compatibility claim reflects the manufacturer's testing against the original units. Buyers needing to power other router brands or higher-wattage equipment should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

How long can the ABLEGRID adapter run continuously before heat protection activates?

The adapter includes Over Heat Protection that automatically shuts it down if internal temperatures rise too high during sustained use, then resumes once it cools.

What noise or heat should I expect when the charger runs all day?

It has no fan, so operation is silent; warmth is normal, but the built-in Over Heat Protection will cut power if the case becomes excessively hot.

Which cable or tip must I already have to connect this adapter to my Comcast gateway?

You need the barrel-tip DC cable that matches your gateway’s power jack — verify the tip size and polarity before ordering.
