Compatible Camcorder Models

This ABLEGRID AC adapter is built for JVC GR-SXM745, GR-SXM745U and GR-SXM745US camcorders. It delivers DC power through a barrel tip connector and accepts worldwide AC input from 100 to 240 volts at 50 or 60 hertz. The unit is a non-OEM replacement certified to CE, FCC and RoHS standards with 985% compatibility claimed.

Who Should Buy This

Owners of the listed JVC models needing a spare or replacement mains charger will find the voltage range and protective circuits suitable. Videographers requiring a battery charger rather than a direct camcorder power supply should look elsewhere, as this adapter powers the device itself. Users with a different connector size or output specification must choose another model.

Build Integration

The adapter plugs directly into a wall outlet and the camcorder's DC input, leaving no internal bay or slot occupied. Over-voltage and over-heat protection help safeguard the connected camcorder during extended shoots. Adequate ventilation around the brick is recommended for continuous operation.

Questions about this item

Does this adapter need a separate AC mains lead, or is the cord built in?

The unit ships as a single AC-to-DC power supply with an integrated mains cord; no separate IEC lead is required.

Will the 100-240 V input and 50-60 Hz frequency range work with the original JVC GR-SXM745 charger I am replacing?

Yes — the worldwide AC input matches the voltage and frequency the original JVC GR-SXM745 power supply was designed for.

How can I confirm the barrel tip is delivering the correct DC output after I plug it in?

The adapter includes over-voltage and over-heat protection; a steady charge indicator on the camcorder shows it is operating within spec.
