Power adapter for Maxtor One Touch

The ABLEGRID AC adapter supplies DC power to the Maxtor One Touch 9NT2A4-500 500GB SD81 hard drive. It accepts a worldwide AC input from 100 to 240 volts at 50 or 60 hertz. The barrel-tip connector matches the drive's power port. This non-OEM unit is CE, FCC and RoHS certified.

Suitability and alternatives

This charger suits owners who need a replacement power supply for the specific Maxtor model listed. It will not work with drives that require a different voltage, polarity or tip diameter. Buyers who need a multi-voltage unit with interchangeable tips should look at a universal adapter instead.

Build integration

The adapter plugs directly into a mains socket and delivers power to the external drive without an internal PSU. Its over-voltage and over-heat protection helps safeguard the connected storage. A ventilated location is recommended during extended use to maintain safe operating temperatures.
