Compatible Verbatim Drives

This AC adapter powers Verbatim external hard drives rated at 2 TB, 1.5 TB and 1 TB. It is intended for owners of those specific drives who need a replacement or spare mains supply. Buyers with drives of other capacities or brands cannot use this unit.

Sustained Operation

The adapter accepts AC 100-240 V at 50-60 Hz for worldwide use and delivers a DC output through a barrel tip. Built-in over-voltage and over-heat protection activate during extended sessions to limit stress on the supply. Long-term reliability depends on keeping the unit ventilated and away from humid or insulated surfaces.

Installation Notes

Connection is straightforward: match the DC output voltage and barrel tip size to the drive’s requirements before plugging in. The most common issue is ordering a tip or voltage that does not match the original supply, which prevents the drive from spinning up. Verify the specifications on the existing adapter to avoid a mismatch.
