Replacement power adapter for WD My Book

This ABLEGRID AC adapter replaces the original power supply for WD My Book models 15HBK, 10HBK-00 and 10HBK-UESN. It delivers a DC output through a barrel tip connector and accepts worldwide AC input from 100 to 240 volts at 50 to 60 hertz. The unit is a non-OEM charger built to CE, FCC and RoHS standards with over-voltage and over-heat protection included.

Installation notes and common issues

Installation is limited to matching the DC output voltage and barrel tip size to the drive before connecting to mains power. The supplier notes that buyers must verify these two details are correct for their specific unit to avoid a mismatch. No tools or configuration are required beyond plugging the adapter into the drive and a wall outlet.

Deciding specification

The single specification that determines compatibility is the barrel tip connector size combined with the required DC output values. If the tip size or voltage does not match the original WD My Book adapter, this unit will not power the drive correctly.
