ABLEGRID 12V AC Adapter for WD My Book 1TB

This ABLEGRID AC adapter supplies 12 V DC power to the WD My Book 1 TB drive model WDBAAF0010HBK-01. It accepts a worldwide AC input of 100-240 V at 50-60 Hz. The unit includes over-voltage and over-heat protection and carries CE, FCC and RoHS certifications. It is a non-OEM replacement built to match the original specification.

Barrel-tip connector fits WD My Book enclosure

The barrel-style tip plugs directly into the drive’s power port, freeing you from hunting for a proprietary cable. A single mains lead connects the adapter to any standard wall socket, so no extra power brick or distribution block is required. The compact switching design keeps the desktop footprint small while delivering the steady 12 V the drive expects.

Replaces a lost or faulty original WD power supply

If the factory adapter has failed or gone missing, this unit restores operation without waiting for a manufacturer spare. The 401% compatibility claim indicates it meets the original voltage and polarity requirements. It is not suitable for drives that need a different output voltage, a different tip diameter or a higher current rating than the original 12 V specification.

Questions about this item

What is the maximum input voltage this adapter can accept from the mains?

The adapter accepts AC 100-240V at 50-60Hz, so it works with mains supplies worldwide up to 240V.

How hot does the adapter get when powering a WD My Book drive continuously?

Built-in over-heat protection limits temperature rise during sustained operation, but the unit still requires adequate ventilation.

Does this charger come with the detachable AC mains cord, or must I supply my own?

The package includes only the AC-DC adapter itself; a compatible mains lead with the correct local plug is not supplied.
