AC adapter for Asian devices

This ABLEGRID AC DC adapter supplies 12 V at 1.5 A for devices that use the WA-18G12U or WA-18H12 barrel connector. It accepts a worldwide input of 100-240 V at 50-60 Hz, making it suitable for international use. The unit is a non-OEM replacement built to CE, FCC and RoHS standards.

Over-voltage and over-heat protection

The adapter includes over-voltage protection and over-heat protection to safeguard connected equipment during extended operation. No additional software or cables are bundled; the package contains only the power charger itself. These safety features operate automatically without user configuration.

Buyers needing a 12 V 1.5 A barrel-tip replacement

This suits buyers who need a direct 12 V 1.5 A replacement with the specified barrel tip for compatible Asian-market devices. It is not for users who require a different output voltage, a higher current rating, or a connector size other than the barrel tip described. Users needing multiple output ports or battery-backup functionality should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

Does the barrel tip ever need replacing on the WA-18G12U?

The barrel tip is fixed to the cable; if it becomes worn or damaged the whole adapter must be replaced.

What limits continuous operation of the 12 V 1.5 A output?

Over-heat protection will shut the unit down if ventilation is inadequate during extended use.

How hot or noisy does the adapter get when left on all day?

It runs silently with no fan; keep it in open air so the over-heat protection does not trip.
