Purpose and fit

This AC–DC adapter replaces the original wall charger for the MAXX PDV8500 8.5 portable DVD player. It delivers DC power through a barrel tip and is built as a non-OEM unit with CE, FCC and RoHS certification.

What to verify before ordering

Confirm that your player requires DC output and that the barrel tip size matches the device socket. The adapter accepts AC 100-240V at 50-60Hz for worldwide use, so check only the output polarity and tip dimensions on the original supply.

Sustained-load behaviour

Over-voltage and over-heat protection circuits activate during extended charging sessions to protect both adapter and player. The supplier advises keeping the unit in a ventilated area and away from skin-contact surfaces when it runs for long periods.

Questions about this item

Does the package include the MAXX PDV8500 8.5 portable DVD player or just the AC-DC adapter?

The package includes 1 x new AC-DC adapter power charger only. The MAXX PDV8500 8.5 portable DVD player is not included and must be purchased separately.

Which output specification should I match to ensure this adapter works with my MAXX PDV8500 8.5 player?

Check that your player requires a DC output and the barrel tip connector size. The adapter accepts AC 100-240V input at 50-60Hz for worldwide use.

What does the AC 100-240V input range mean when I plug this adapter into a wall socket at home?

It means the adapter automatically handles any mains voltage between 100 and 240 volts at 50 or 60 hertz, so you can use it in different countries without a voltage converter.
