Replacement Power Adapter

The ABLEGRID AC DC adapter replaces the OMEGA CORP OMG-12S17U switching power supply. It accepts 100 to 240 volt input at 50 to 60 hertz for worldwide use. The unit delivers DC output through a barrel tip connector. Over-voltage and over-heat protection are built in for safe operation.

Buyers Needing Exact Tip Match

This charger suits owners of the OMG-12S17U who confirm their device requires the same DC output and barrel tip dimensions. It is not for buyers who cannot verify the connector size or polarity against their original unit. Users needing a different voltage or connector type should look elsewhere.

Output Voltage and Connector

The critical specification is the DC output rating of 12 volts and 17 amps combined with the barrel tip size. The adapter will only power the equipment correctly if both the voltage and the physical connector match the original OMG-12S17U requirements exactly.

Questions about this item

How warm does the ABLEGRID adapter get during all-day use and does it have any built-in protection?

The adapter includes over-heat and over-voltage protection; the supplier recommends keeping it in a ventilated area and not placing it on soft surfaces during extended operation.

What must I already own to use this charger with my device?

You need a device that accepts 12 V DC at 17 A through a barrel tip connector; the adapter itself supplies the mains cord and output lead.

Will this power supply work with an older OMEGA CORP unit that also uses a barrel tip?

It is rated at 765 % compatibility with the original OMG-12S17U supply, so it should operate older hardware that matches the 12 V 17 A barrel-tip specification.
