Compatible WD My Book Studio Edition Adapter

This AC DC adapter is built specifically for the WD My Book Studio Edition WD10000H1Q-00 external drive. It delivers the required DC output for reliable operation of the storage unit. The unit includes Over Voltage Protection and Over Heat Protection for safe charging. It arrives new and ready for immediate use.

Worldwide Input For Home Or Office Use

The adapter accepts AC 100-240V at 50-60Hz, making it suitable for worldwide mains supply. Buyers who need a replacement for the original WD power supply will find this unit matches the specification. Users with a different drive model or a mismatched connector tip should look at other options.

DC Output And Tip Size Must Match

The single specification that decides fit is the DC output voltage and the connector tip dimensions shown in the product images. You must verify these details against your drive before ordering. An incorrect match will prevent the drive from powering on safely.

Questions about this item

Will this adapter run my WD My Book Studio Edition WD10000H1Q-00 alongside older USB drives on the same power strip?

Yes, the adapter accepts AC 100-240V at 50-60Hz so it works on any standard mains circuit without affecting other devices plugged into the same strip.

How can I confirm the adapter is delivering power to the WD My Book Studio Edition WD10000H1Q-00 after I connect it?

The drive should spin up and appear in your operating system; if the drive LED lights and the system recognises the volume, the adapter is functioning correctly.

What comes in the box and do I need to buy a separate mains lead?

The package includes one new AC DC adapter power charger; the fixed mains plug is already attached so no separate cable is required.
