Compatible Home Power Adapter

The ABLEGRID AC/DC adapter supplies mains power to the Uniden BCT-15X radio scanner. It replaces the original supply with a non-OEM unit that carries CE, FCC and RoHS certification. The package includes one charger ready for immediate use.

Thermal Protection and Input Range

Over-voltage and over-heat protection guard the scanner during extended monitoring sessions. The adapter accepts AC 100-240 V at 50-60 Hz for worldwide operation. Normal use stays within these limits without extra cooling requirements.

Barrel-Tip Connection and Build Fit

A barrel tip connector matches the scanner’s DC input when the output polarity and tip size align. The compact brick frees desk space compared with bulkier supplies. Users must verify the connector dimensions before ordering to ensure a proper fit.

Questions about this item

How do I install the ABLEGRID adapter for my Uniden BCT-15X, and what step do people often miss?

Plug the AC side into a 100-240V wall outlet at 50-60Hz, then insert the barrel tip firmly into the scanner's DC jack; the step often missed is verifying the tip polarity and size match before powering on.

What maintenance or replacement will this charger need over time?

Keep the unit in a ventilated, low-humidity area and avoid placing it on soft surfaces; if the casing cracks, the cable frays, or protection circuits trip repeatedly, replace the adapter.

What limit appears first during continuous use of this power supply?

The over-heat protection will activate before any other limit if airflow is restricted, cutting output until the adapter cools to a safe temperature.
