Replacement wall charger for HTX-202

This ABLEGRID AC/DC adapter supplies power to the Radio Shack Realistic HTX-202 19-1120 transceiver. It accepts 100-240V AC input at 50-60Hz for worldwide use and delivers DC output through a barrel tip connector. The unit is a non-OEM replacement built to match the original specifications.

Included single adapter unit

The package contains one new AC/DC power charger with no additional cables, mounting hardware or software. Over-voltage and over-heat protection circuits guard the radio during extended operation. Buyers who need a spare DC lead or a desktop cradle will not find those items in this box.

Barrel tip polarity and voltage match required

The charger works only when the HTX-202 demands the exact DC voltage and barrel tip size this adapter provides. No alternative tip diameters or output voltages are supported, so verifying the radio’s label before purchase is essential. Users requiring a different connector or a regulated bench supply must source a separate solution.

Questions about this item

Will the barrel tip or cable need replacing after extended use?

The barrel tip is a fixed connector; no user-replaceable parts are specified, so the whole adapter would be swapped if the tip or cable fails.

What is the first limit reached when the adapter runs continuously at full load?

Over-heat protection will activate before any other limit if the unit is operated continuously without adequate ventilation.

How much heat and noise does the charger produce when left on all day?

The adapter is passively cooled and silent; it will warm up during prolonged use, so keep it in a ventilated area away from heat-sensitive surfaces.
