Power adapter for HTC Vive Base Station

The ABLEGRID BX-1202500 is a 30 W AC/DC adapter built to power the HTC Vive VR base station. It replaces the original supply with a non-OEM unit that matches the required 12 V output and barrel connector.

Worldwide AC input with fixed 12 V output

The adapter accepts 100–240 V at 50–60 Hz, making it suitable for global travel without a voltage selector. Its single DC output is locked at 12 V and 2.5 A, so it cannot charge devices that need a different voltage or a higher current limit.

30 W capacity covers the base station only

At 30 W the unit runs the base station with a small safety margin but leaves no headroom for additional accessories. It cannot power the link box or any peripheral that draws more than 2.5 A, so buyers needing a multi-device supply should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

Should I choose this 12V 2.5A model or look for a different amperage for my HTC Vive base station?

Match the original 12V 2.5A 30W rating exactly; the tip size must also be the barrel tip shown in the listing.

What does the 30W output actually deliver when the adapter is running a VR base station?

It supplies a steady 12V at up to 2.5A, giving the base station its full 30W operating power.

The barrel connector is described as a standard tip — what does that limit in practice?

The barrel tip fits only devices with the matching inner and outer diameter; verify the original unit before ordering.
