Compatible power and data cables for Canon printers

The ABLEGRID set provides a six-foot AC power cord and a USB data cable built to fit the MG2522, MG2525, MG3022, MG6820 and MG7120 models. Both cables are new, black and terminated with the connector sizes shown in the product images.

Replaces lost or damaged original cables

If the factory power lead or USB cable has been misplaced, frayed or failed, this kit restores both power and communication in one purchase. The jump is worth it when the printer sits farther from the wall outlet or computer than the original short cables allow.

Six-foot reach for typical desk setups

The 6 ft length comfortably spans standard desk-to-outlet and desk-to-PC distances without stretching or creating trip hazards. It runs out in larger offices or when the printer must be placed across a room from the power source or host computer.

Questions about this item

Does the 6 ft AC power cord reach a wall outlet from a desk-mounted Canon MG2522?

The cord measures 6 ft end to end, so it will span the distance from a typical desk-height printer to a standard wall socket without an extension lead.

Which end of the USB cable plugs into the Canon MG3022 and which end goes to the computer?

The square Type-B connector inserts into the printer’s rear port; the flat Type-A connector inserts into any USB-A port on the PC or laptop.

How often should the 6 ft power cord be inspected or replaced for a Canon MG6820?

Check the cord annually for cracked insulation, bent pins or loose strain relief; replace it immediately if any damage is visible or after a power surge event.
