What this adapter replaces

The ABLEGRID S008ACM1200050 is a 12V 500mA AC adapter built to replace the AKG Switching 7801H00220 unit. It accepts 100-240V AC input at 50-60Hz and delivers DC output through a barrel tip connector. The charger is intended for users who need a direct replacement for that specific model.

Installation and common issues

Connection is straightforward: plug the AC side into mains power and the barrel tip into the device. The critical step is confirming that the device requires exactly 12V DC at 500mA and that the barrel tip dimensions match. A mismatch in voltage, current or tip size will prevent operation or risk damage.

The deciding specification

Output must be 12V DC at 500mA with a compatible barrel tip. If the original equipment calls for a different voltage, a higher current rating or a different connector geometry, this adapter will not work. Verify those three values against the device label before purchasing.
