Power Adapter for Sega Consoles

This ABLEGRID power supply adapter replaces the original AC adapter for the Sega Genesis 2, Genesis 3, 32X and Nomad consoles. It delivers the required DC output through a barrel tip connector. The unit is a non-OEM replacement built to match the original specifications.

Verify Connector and Voltage Before Use

Confirm that your console requires a DC barrel tip connection and check the required output polarity and voltage marked on the device. The adapter accepts AC 100-240V at 50-60Hz for worldwide use. Ensure the tip size matches the console power port exactly before connecting.

Protections Maintain Stability During Long Sessions

Over-voltage and over-heat protection circuits activate automatically during extended play to prevent damage to the adapter and console. Keep the unit in a ventilated area and avoid placing it on soft surfaces that trap heat. These safeguards help maintain consistent power delivery over long periods.

Questions about this item

What comes in the box and does it include the Sega console?

The package contains one new AC DC adapter power charger. The Sega Genesis 2, Genesis 3, 32X or Nomad console is not included and must be supplied separately.

Which adapter version should I choose for my Genesis 2 versus my Nomad?

This single adapter is listed as compatible with Genesis 2, Genesis 3, 32X and Nomad. Verify that your console requires a DC barrel tip and matches the output specifications before ordering.

What does the 100-240V input mean when I plug it into a UK socket?

The adapter accepts AC 100-240V at 50-60Hz, so it works on UK mains voltage. You will need a suitable UK plug adapter or lead because the unit ships with a US-style plug.
