Power cable for Targus Chill Mat

This ABLEGRID cable connects a Targus Chill Mat cooling pad to a USB 2.0 port for power. It carries a DC 5.5×2.1 mm barrel plug and is rated for up to 4 A maximum current. The 100 cm length gives enough reach for typical desk setups.

Replacement for specific coolers

The cable suits owners of Targus Chill Mat models PA248U, PA248U1, PA248U2, PA248U3, PA248U4 and PA248U5W who need a spare or replacement lead. It will not fit coolers that use a different barrel size or a proprietary power connector.

Build integration

Plug the USB-A end into any USB 1.0, 1.1 or 2.0 port on a laptop, desktop or powered hub to supply the cooler. The foil and braid shielding reduces EMI and RFI interference. No separate AC adapter is required, freeing a mains socket.

How can I confirm the cable is supplying the correct current after I plug it in?
