Portable Laptop Lap Desk

The AboveTEK LD-165G is a portable lap desk designed for laptops up to 15.6 inches. It features an anti-slip surface and double rubber strips on the bottom for stable typing on a bed, sofa, or floor. A built-in heat shield protects the user from device warmth during extended sessions.

Retractable Mouse Pad Upgrade

This model adds a retractable mouse tray that extends to the left or right for either handedness. The tray measures 7.4 by 6.1 inches with raised edges to stop the mouse sliding off. The jump is worth it when a separate mouse is used regularly on soft surfaces where a pad would sink or shift.

Compatibility Check Points

Verify the laptop diagonal does not exceed 15.6 inches to fit the 14 by 9.7 inch platform. Confirm the 2.2 lb weight and 0.6 inch folded thickness suit the intended carrying bag. The surface finish is described as polished brass; ensure this matches the expected aesthetic before ordering.

Questions about this item

What are the folded dimensions and weight of the LD-165G lap desk?

The desk measures 15 inches long, 9.7 inches wide and 0.6 inch thick when folded, and weighs 2.2 lb (0.9 kg).

How do I extend the retractable mouse pad so it stays level with the main surface?

Pull the tray out from either the left or right side until it clicks into the fully extended position; the raised edges then keep the mouse from sliding off.

When should I replace the anti-slip pads on the bottom of the desk?

Replace the rubber strips when they lose grip on fabric or hard surfaces, which typically occurs after extended daily use on rough upholstery.
