What this soundbar does and who it suits

The ABRRU EL026 is a 2.0 stereo soundbar that draws 14 W of power from a single USB-C or USB-A port. Two 1.77" neodymium drivers and a front-facing bass diaphragm produce a 20 KHz frequency response at 3.2 ohm impedance. It is built for desktop users who want louder, clearer audio than built-in laptop or monitor speakers without adding a separate power brick.

Limits of the USB audio interface

Because the unit is powered entirely from a 5 V USB connection, its maximum output is capped at the 14 W the port can deliver. The 2.0 channel configuration means there is no dedicated subwoofer channel, so very low-frequency effects will be less pronounced than on a 2.1 system. The fixed 1.38" clamp opening also restricts mounting to monitors thinner than that dimension.

Build, clamp and daily use

The spring-loaded clamp opens to 3.5 cm and includes soft silicone pads to protect screen surfaces. It can be attached to the top, bottom or side of a compatible monitor, or the soundbar can simply sit on the desk. A woven fabric grille covers touch controls for volume and mute, while a shielded cable with a 2-in-1 USB-C to USB-A adapter keeps the connection stable. The unit measures 1.69 x 8.82 x 3.46 in and weighs .408 kg.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 14 W stereo version or a different capacity?

The EL026 is a single 2.0 configuration rated at 14 watts total power; no other wattage or channel option is offered for this model.

What does the 14 W rating mean when the soundbar is connected to my monitor?

14 watts is the peak output from the two 1.77-inch neodymium drivers and front-facing bass diaphragm, delivering louder, clearer stereo than built-in monitor speakers.

Will the USB-C connection limit volume or audio quality compared to a 3.5 mm jack?

The USB-C plug carries both power and digital audio at 5 volts, so the 14 W amplifier runs at full output without an analogue cable or separate power brick.
