System purpose

The ABS ALI628 is a refurbished mid-tower gaming desktop built around an Intel Core i9-12900KF processor with 16 cores and 24 threads. It targets enthusiasts who want a ready-to-play system for 4K gaming and heavy multitasking without assembling parts themselves. The 32 GB DDR5 5200 MHz memory and 2 TB NVMe SSD provide ample headroom for modern titles and creative workloads. Buyers needing more than 128 GB of RAM or a second graphics card should look elsewhere.

Build integration

The Corsair iCue 5000x case houses a Corsair RM850x 850W 80 Plus Gold power supply and a Corsair Hydro H115i Elite Capellix liquid cooler for the CPU. Four case fans (three RGB PWM plus one SP120 RGB) are pre-installed for airflow. The Z690 motherboard offers two free DDR5 slots for future expansion up to 128 GB. The RTX 3080 Ti 12 GB GDDR6X card occupies a standard PCIe slot and requires no extra cabling beyond the PSU leads provided.

Sustained load behaviour

Under prolonged load the 24-thread CPU and 12 GB GPU share the 850 W Gold-rated supply while the 115i liquid cooler and four case fans manage thermals. The 30 MB L3 cache helps keep the 16-core processor fed during extended render or compile sessions. Windows 11 Pro 64-bit runs on the 2 TB NVMe drive, keeping boot and asset streaming consistent. The system is VR ready for long sessions.

Questions about this item

How far can the i9-12900KF push its 24 threads before the Corsair H115i Elite Capellix liquid cooler hits its limit?

The 115i Elite Capellix is rated for high-wattage CPUs; the 12900KF 24-thread processor will reach its thermal ceiling before the cooler saturates

What noise and heat should I expect from the 850W Gold PSU and four RGB fans when the system runs all day?

The RM850x 80 Plus Gold unit stays efficient at typical loads, and the four PWM fans ramp only as needed, keeping acoustics low during sustained use

Which display cables must I already own to use the RTX 3080 Ti 12 GB GPU?

The card uses standard DisplayPort and HDMI outputs; have the matching cables for your monitor ready
