Limited edition EKLR desktop

The ABS ALI650 is a refurbished gaming desktop endorsed by Austin Ekeler, with only 30 units produced. Sales support the Austin Ekeler Foundation. It ships with Windows 11 Pro 64-bit installed. The system uses a JONSBO MOD-3 case with an RGB CPU tower cooler.

Mid-range 1080p gaming build

The Intel Core i5-12400F and GIGABYTE RTX 3060 12 GB suit players targeting 1080p resolution. 16 GB DDR4 3200 MHz memory handles current titles. Buyers who need more than 1 TB of fast storage should look elsewhere. Content creators requiring higher multi-core performance should consider other options.

RTX 3060 12 GB graphics card

The GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 3060 provides 12 GB GDDR6 video memory. This VRAM amount determines texture capacity at higher settings. The 600W 80 Plus Gold power supply delivers power to the components. Virtual reality ready capability is included.

Questions about this item

What does the B660 chipset limit for the i5-12400F in this ALI650?

The B660 chipset locks the i5-12400F multiplier so the CPU tops out at its 4.4 GHz turbo; memory runs at the DDR4 3200 MHz JEDEC speed of the installed kit.

What case clearance does the JONSBO MOD-3 chassis give for the included CPU cooler?

The JONSBO MOD-3 fits the supplied RGB tower cooler with room for standard ATX motherboards and full-length graphics cards.

How is the GIGABYTE RTX 3060 seated in this build, and what step is often missed?

The card mounts in the primary PCIe x16 slot on the GIGABYTE B660 board and needs its 8-pin power connector from the 600W Gold PSU; forgetting that cable is the common error.
