Purpose-built security
The Abus 26/90 KA disc padlock uses a partially hidden shackle made of steel and a stainless-steel body to resist cutting and prying. Its disc shape leaves minimal shackle exposure, which suits hasps, chains and lockers where a standard shackle would be vulnerable. The 6-pin cylinder operates with key number 131 and is supplied keyed alike for single-key convenience.
Practical limits
The shackle diameter is 15/32 in, height 5/8 in and width 1 in, so the lock only fits openings that accommodate those dimensions. The body measures 3 35/64 in high and wide with a thickness of 1 9/64 in, limiting use to hardware with matching clearance. The cylinder is not rekeyable and has no interchangeable core, so the keying is fixed for the life of the lock.
Upgrade path
This model replaces standard exposed-shackle padlocks when attackers can reach the shackle with bolt-cutters or leverage tools. The jump is worth it when the mounting point allows a partially hidden shackle and when multiple locks must share one key. It does not serve buyers who need a rekeyable cylinder, a different key code, or a shackle long enough for thick chain links.
