Acer Aspire 5 15.6" FHD IPS Laptop

The Acer Aspire 5 is a 15.6-inch notebook with a Full HD IPS display, an Intel Core i3-1005G1 dual-core processor, 4GB DDR4 memory and a 512GB NVMe SSD. It ships with Windows 10 Pro in S Mode and includes a fingerprint reader, HDMI output, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and a 720p webcam.

Suitable for daily office tasks and study

This configuration handles web browsing, document editing and video playback on a sharp 1920 x 1080 IPS panel. The 4GB DDR4 memory and dual-core CPU limit performance for heavy multitasking, content creation or modern gaming. Buyers who need more RAM or a discrete graphics card should consider other models.

4GB DDR4 memory soldered

If your workload regularly exceeds this capacity, the laptop will rely on the NVMe drive for paging and responsiveness will drop.

Questions about this item

How loud and hot does the Core i3-1005G1 get during long sessions?

The dual-core processor runs at a 1.2 GHz base and up to 3.4 GHz turbo; the integrated UHD Graphics share the same thermal envelope, so fan noise and surface temperature rise steadily under sustained load.

What else must I already own to use the 512 GB NVMe storage and 15.6 inch FHD screen?

Windows 10 Pro S Mode is pre-installed on the NVMe drive, and the IPS panel needs no external monitor; only the supplied power adapter is required to start working.

Will my older USB-A peripherals and HDMI monitor work with this notebook?

Yes, the chassis includes a full-size HDMI port and standard USB-A sockets, so existing mice, keyboards, drives and external displays connect directly without adapters.
