Questions about this item

How loud or hot does the Ryzen 7 8845HS get when the Nitro 17 runs all day?

The 8-core Ryzen 7 8845HS reaches 5.1 GHz turbo under load; fan noise and surface temperature rise during extended gaming but remain within laptop-typical limits for a 15.78 x 10.85 x .94 inch chassis.

What cables or peripherals must I already own to use the HDMI 2.1 and USB 3.2 ports on this laptop?

You need an HDMI 2.1 cable for 4K high-refresh output and standard USB 3.2 Type-A or Type-C cables for the two Type-A and single Type-C ports; no SD reader or extra adapters are built in.

Will my older USB 3.0 drives and 1080p 60 Hz monitor work with the USB 3.2 and HDMI 2.1 ports on this machine?

Yes — USB 3.2 ports are backward compatible with USB 3.0 devices, and the HDMI 2.1 port drives 1080p 60 Hz displays without any adapter.
