15.6" FHD 165Hz Gaming Laptop

The Acer Nitro V 15 combines an Intel Core i5-13420H processor with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 GPU and 16GB DDR5 memory. A 1TB PCIe SSD provides fast storage for games and applications. Windows 11 Home and an Office 2021 licence are pre-installed.

Thunderbolt 4 and HDMI 2.1 Limits

One USB-C Thunderbolt 4 port handles 40Gbps data, power delivery and DisplayPort 1.4 video. The HDMI 2.1 output supports external displays up to 4K resolution. Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1 manage wireless connectivity. Three USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports add 5Gbps peripheral bandwidth.

User-Upgrade Access and Thermal Paste

The chassis is opened by technicians for RAM or SSD upgrades before shipping. Removing the bottom cover requires Torx screws and careful cable routing around the battery. Re-assembly often leaves a loose Wi-Fi antenna connector or misaligned thermal pads on the GPU.

Questions about this item

Which capacity should I choose between the 1TB PCIe SSD and the 16GB DDR5 4800 memory?

The 1TB PCIe SSD holds the operating system, games and large files, while the 16GB DDR5 4800 memory runs the active workload; both are fixed in this configuration so there is no alternative capacity to select.

What does the 165Hz figure mean for daily gaming on the 15.6 inch 1920 x 1080 IPS panel?

The screen can refresh the image up to 165 times per second, reducing motion blur in fast scenes and making cursor movement feel more responsive than lower-refresh panels.

What does the Thunderbolt 4 USB-C port cap at for external displays and data?

The single Thunderbolt 4 USB-C port supports DisplayPort 1.4 video output and up to 40Gbps data transfer, while the HDMI 2.1 port adds a second external display option.
