Nitro V 16 gaming laptop

The Acer Nitro V 16 is a 16.0 inch Windows 11 Pro gaming laptop built around an AMD Ryzen AI 7 350 processor with 8 cores and 16 threads reaching 5 GHz. It pairs that CPU with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Laptop GPU carrying 8 GB of video memory. The system ships with 32 GB of DDR5 memory and a 1 TB PCIe SSD for fast storage.

180 Hz IPS panel under load

The 16 inch WUXGA IPS display runs at 1920 x 1200 resolution and a 180 Hz refresh rate for smooth motion in competitive titles. During extended sessions the eight core processor sustains high clock speeds while the RTX 5060 8 GB GPU maintains stable frame output. The 32 GB DDR5 pool and PCIe SSD keep asset streaming consistent without throttling the graphics pipeline.

Thermals noise and power in daily use

The chassis measures 14.08 by 10.39 by 0.79 inches and weighs 4.63 pounds, leaving room for a cooling solution that manages the 5 GHz boost ceiling. Fan noise stays controlled during typical gaming and productivity workloads. Power draw scales with the Ryzen AI 7 350 and RTX 5060 combination, while Wi-Fi 6E and the full port array including HDMI and RJ45 remain active without thermal penalty.

Questions about this item

How loud and hot does the Ryzen AI 7 350 get during long sessions?

The 16.0-inch chassis houses an 8-core CPU that boosts to 5 GHz and an RTX 5060 with 8 GB video memory; under sustained load the 180 Hz IPS panel area warms noticeably while fan speed ramps to an audible but not intrusive level.

Which cables or peripherals must I already own to use every port on the Nitro V 16?

Two USB-A 3.2 and two Type-C 3.2 ports need matching cables; HDMI output requires a standard HDMI lead; RJ45 takes a Cat5e or better Ethernet cord; the MicroSD slot accepts UHS-I cards directly.

Will my older USB 2.0 mouse and 1080p monitor work without adapters?

A dedicated USB 2.0 port runs legacy mice or keyboards natively, and the HDMI 2.0 output drives a 1920 x 1200 external display at 60 Hz with no extra hardware.
