Chromebook Spin 514 14″ Touchscreen

This new Acer Chromebook Spin 514 converts between laptop and tablet use with a 14.0″ IPS touchscreen. It runs Chrome OS on an Intel Core 5 120U processor with 16GB DDR5 memory and 256GB SSD storage. The WUXGA panel delivers 1920 x 1200 resolution at 60 Hz refresh rate.

Suited for cloud-first workers.

Buyers who rely on web apps, Android apps and Linux on Chrome OS will find the 16GB DDR5 5200 memory and Intel UHD Graphics adequate. Users who need discrete graphics, large local media libraries or Windows-only software should look at a different class of device.

16GB DDR5 5200 soldered memory decides upgrade path

The 16GB DDR5 5200 memory is not user-expandable, so the capacity you buy is the capacity you keep. If your workflow regularly exceeds 16GB, this model will constrain you; otherwise the 256GB SSD and WiFi 6E connectivity support typical cloud-centric productivity.
