Aspire Go 15 with 48GB DDR4

The Acer Aspire Go 15 is a thin-and-light 15.6 inch laptop built around an AMD Ryzen 7 5825U processor with 8 cores and 16 MB L3 cache. It ships with 48GB of DDR4 3200 memory and a 512GB PCIe Gen4 SSD. Windows 11 Home is pre-installed on the Steel Gray chassis.

Memory and storage limits

Memory uses two SO-DIMM slots; the factory configuration fills both with 16GB plus a Lexar 32GB module so no slots remain free. The board supports DDR4 3200 speeds. Storage provides two M.2 sockets, one of which is occupied by the supplied 512GB drive, leaving a single slot open for expansion.

Upgrade path from 16GB systems

Buyers moving from a typical 16GB ultraportable gain three times the memory headroom for heavy multitasking, large datasets or virtual machines without replacing the machine. The jump is worthwhile when workloads regularly exceed 16GB and the single remaining M.2 slot can absorb future storage growth. Buyers who need user-replaceable memory modules or more than two M.2 drives should look elsewhere.
