14-inch Chromebook Plus with Ryzen 5

The Acer Chromebook Plus 514 is a 14-inch laptop built around an AMD Ryzen 5 7520C quad-core processor running at 2.80 GHz. It comes with 16 GB of system memory and a 256 GB solid-state drive. The WUXGA touchscreen delivers a 1920 x 1200 resolution using IPS technology with a ComfyView matte finish. ChromeOS handles the operating system duties.

Students and mobile workers needing all-day battery

This configuration suits users who want a lightweight ChromeOS device with enough RAM for many browser tabs and Android apps. The 12-hour battery run time supports a full day of classes or meetings without a charger. Buyers who need more local storage for large media libraries or who require Windows-specific applications should consider a different platform.

Sustained performance

Under continuous load the Ryzen 5 7520C and its integrated Radeon graphics share the same thermal envelope, so clock speeds will settle below the 2.80 GHz peak after extended periods. The fanless or low-noise cooling design keeps surface temperatures manageable during typical productivity workflows such as document editing or video streaming. Wireless connectivity uses the IEEE 802.11ax standard for stable network throughput.
