Acer Chromebook Plus 514 overview

This 14.0-inch Chromebook runs Chrome OS on an AMD Ryzen 3 7320C quad-core processor clocked at 2.40 GHz. It includes 8 GB of memory and a 256 GB SSD for storage. The WUXGA display delivers a 1920 x 1200 resolution with IPS technology and a matte ComfyView finish. Wireless connectivity uses 802.11ax Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, while an HDMI port supports external displays.

Suits cloud-first workers and students

The lightweight Chrome OS environment and integrated AMD Radeon graphics handle web apps, video calls and document editing smoothly. Buyers who need local Windows applications, discrete graphics performance or a touchscreen should consider other categories. The fixed 8 GB memory and 256 GB SSD also limit users who require larger local storage or upgradeable RAM.

Simple setup with Chrome OS

Power on, connect to Wi-Fi and sign in with a Google account to restore apps and settings automatically. No driver installation is required for the integrated graphics or wireless hardware. The non-touch screen avoids calibration steps, and the single HDMI port works plug-and-play with most monitors. Iron-colour chassis shows fingerprints more readily than lighter finishes.
