Business-ready 14-inch laptop

The Acer TravelMate P4 14 with a Core Ultra 5 225U processor, 16 GB of memory and a 512 GB NVMe 4.0 SSD is built for professionals who need a compact Windows 11 Pro machine for office productivity, video calls and light AI-assisted tasks. Its 12-core CPU reaches 4.80 GHz turbo frequency and includes an Intel AI Boost NPU plus a dedicated Copilot key for on-device intelligence.

Thermals noise and power draw

The 14.0-inch IPS panel runs at 60 Hz with 300 nit brightness and a 45% NTSC colour gamut, so the integrated graphics workload stays modest during typical document and browser use. A moisture-resistant Precision Touchpad and a ComfyView matte coating keep the chassis comfortable during long sessions without demanding high fan speeds.

Deciding specification

The single specification that decides fit is the 12-core Core Ultra 5 225U with Intel AI Boost NPU; buyers who need discrete graphics performance, a touchscreen or a higher colour-gamut display should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

How do I install the M.2 PCIe NVMe 4.0 SSD in the TravelMate P4 14, and which step do people often miss?

Remove the base screws, lift the cover, insert the M.2 PCIe NVMe 4.0 SSD at an angle into the slot, press it flat and secure it with the single retention screw; the step often missed is pressing the drive fully flat before tightening the screw.

What maintenance or replacement will the 512 GB M.2 PCIe NVMe 4.0 SSD need later?

The 512 GB M.2 PCIe NVMe 4.0 SSD has no moving parts and requires no scheduled maintenance; replacement is only needed if capacity runs out or a SMART error appears.

What limit appears first on the Core Ultra 5 225U during sustained workloads?

The 12-core Core Ultra 5 225U with 12 MB L3 cache hits its thermal envelope first, causing the 4.80 GHz turbo to step down until temperatures stabilise.
