Triton 500 SE-16 Gaming Laptop

The Acer Triton 500 SE-16 is a 16.0 inch gaming laptop finished in Gray. It ships with Windows 10 Pro and includes an Atlas backpack designed for travel. The system targets users who want high refresh-rate visuals and dedicated graphics in a portable chassis.

165 Hz Wide QXGA Display

The 16.0 inch panel runs at 2560x1600 resolution with a 165 Hz refresh rate and 16:10 aspect ratio. This screen specification is the primary factor for buyers who need smooth motion and extra vertical space for code or timelines.

230 W Power Supply and 99 WHr Battery

The laptop draws power from a 230 W adapter and a 4-cell 99 WHr battery. Under load the dedicated RTX 3070 8 GB GDDR6 GPU and 8-core i7-11800H processor will increase thermals and fan noise, while lighter tasks run cooler on the 32 GB DDR4 memory subsystem.

Questions about this item

How does the 165 Hz 16.0" 2560x1600 display behave in actual games?

The 165 Hz panel refreshes each frame in about 6 ms, so fast-paced titles show noticeably smoother motion than a 60 Hz screen; the 16:10 aspect ratio also gives extra vertical space for UI elements.

What does the USB 3.2 Type-C Gen2 connection limit in real use?

Each Type-C port tops out at 10 Gbps, so external NVMe enclosures or high-speed docks will hit that ceiling; the ports also carry DisplayPort video and can charge devices.

Will the 99 Whr battery and 230 W adapter fit in the included Atlas backpack?

Yes — the backpack has a padded notebook compartment sized for 16-inch laptops plus room for the 230 W brick and cables in its secondary zippered pockets.
