16-inch 165 Hz gaming laptop

The Acer Triton 500 SE-16 pairs an 11th Gen Intel Core i7-11800H with an NVIDIA RTX 3070 Laptop GPU, 64 GB DDR4 and a 4 TB PCIe NVMe array. The 16.0 inch Wide QXGA panel runs at 2560x1600 and 165 Hz. Windows 11 Home drives the system out of the box.

Sustained load behaviour

The eight-core processor reaches 4.6 GHz turbo while the RTX 3070 delivers 8 GB GDDR6 memory for extended sessions. Dual 2 TB PCIe SSDs keep throughput high during long renders or compiles. The 230 W power supply feeds both chips without throttling the 99 Whr battery reserve.

Thermals noise and power

A 230 W adapter supports peak draw while the 4-cell 99 Whr battery handles mobile use. The chassis weighs 5.4 lb and measures 10.3 inches wide. Connectivity includes 802.11 a/b/n/ac/ax Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2 and wired Ethernet for stable throughput.

Questions about this item

Will the 16.0 inch 165Hz display and RTX 3070 8GB GDDR6 handle current games at the native 2560x1600 resolution?

The 16.0 inch panel runs at 2560x1600 with a 165Hz refresh rate. The RTX 3070 laptop GPU includes 8GB GDDR6 memory and is VR ready, so it drives modern titles at high settings on this resolution.

Does the 64GB DDR4 memory and 4TB PCIe NVMe storage leave room for future upgrades?

The system ships with 64GB DDR4 SO-DIMM and 2x2TB PCIe NVMe SSD for 4TB total storage. Both slots are populated, so adding more memory or storage would require replacing the existing modules.

What ports are available for external monitors and peripherals on this model?

The laptop provides 1 HDMI port, 2 USB 3.2 Type-C Gen2 ports, an SD card reader, a headphone/microphone combo jack and an RJ-45 Ethernet port for wired networking.
