31.5 inch FHD IPS monitor

The Acer EB321HQ Abi is a 31.5 inch flat panel display with an IPS panel, Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 and a 16:9 aspect ratio. It targets home and office users who need a large, colour accurate screen for everyday productivity, media playback and casual use.

60Hz refresh with HDMI and VGA

The monitor operates at a fixed 60Hz refresh rate and a 4ms GTG response time, limiting motion clarity for fast paced gaming. Video inputs are restricted to one HDMI port and one VGA connector, so only legacy or basic digital sources can be attached without adapters.

300 nits brightness and wide viewing angles

At 300 cd/m2 peak brightness and a claimed 100000000:1 contrast ratio the panel handles typical indoor lighting and displays 16.7 million colours. Wide 178 degree horizontal and vertical viewing angles keep the image consistent, but the 60Hz ceiling and lack of adaptive sync mean competitive gaming will feel sluggish.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 31.5" 1920 x 1080 version or a larger 4K model?

This model is a 31.5" viewable IPS panel at 1920 x 1080 resolution with a 60Hz refresh rate and 4 ms GTG response time. A 4K panel would show more detail but needs a stronger graphics card to run smoothly.

What does the 100,000,000:1 contrast ratio mean when I am gaming or watching video?

The 100,000,000:1 figure is a dynamic contrast measurement; in practice the IPS panel delivers 300 cd/m2 brightness and 16.7 million colours with 178° viewing angles for consistent image quality.

Which inputs does the HDMI port support and what refresh rate does it cap at?

The monitor provides one HDMI and one VGA (D‑Sub) connector; both are limited to the panel's native 60Hz at 1920 x 1080 resolution.
