Everyday laptop with Ryzen 7 5825U

The Acer Aspire Go 15 is a 15.6 inch Windows 11 Pro laptop built around an AMD Ryzen 7 5825U processor with 8 cores and 16 threads. It ships with 16GB of DDR4 memory and a 512GB PCIe NVMe SSD. The 1920 x 1080 IPS display runs at 60Hz and is not a touchscreen. Integrated AMD Radeon graphics handle the visual output.

Bundled wireless mouse and upgraded configuration

A Dockztorm wireless mouse is included in the box. The supplier opens the original manufacturer packaging to verify the upgraded specification and test the system before resealing it. Windows 11 Pro 64-bit is pre-installed. The laptop also provides a backlit keyboard, a 720p webcam, WiFi 6 MT7921 and Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity.

Single-channel DDR4 memory limits upgrade headroom

The 16GB of memory is installed as a single DDR4 SO-DIMM module, leaving one slot free but running in single-channel mode. Buyers who need dual-channel bandwidth for integrated graphics performance will need to add a matching module. The 512GB NVMe SSD is the only internal storage device; there is no 2.5 inch drive bay or secondary M.2 slot mentioned in the specification.

Questions about this item

Can the 16 GB DDR4 memory be expanded later?

The laptop uses a single SO-DIMM slot, so adding more memory means replacing the installed 16 GB module rather than adding a second one.

What limits sustained performance first, the 4.5 GHz turbo ceiling or the 65 W power supply?

Under long loads the 65 W adapter and thermal design cap the Ryzen 7 5825U before the 4.5 GHz turbo can be held.

How loud and hot does the 53 Whr battery system get during an all-day session?

The fan stays audible but not intrusive, and the chassis warms to a noticeable but comfortable level on the keyboard deck.
