Acer Aspire Go 15 — 15.6" FHD Non-Touch

The Acer Aspire Go 15 AG15-42P-R917 is a 15.6-inch laptop with a 1920 x 1080 non-touch display, AMD Ryzen 7 7730U processor, 16GB DDR4 memory and a 512GB PCIe SSD. Windows 11 Home is pre-installed. The Pure Silver chassis is designed for everyday home, school and office use.

Who This Suits — And Who It Does Not

Students, remote workers and families wanting a full-size screen, 16GB DDR4 RAM and fast 512GB PCIe storage for documents, streaming and video calls will find it a comfortable fit. Buyers who need a backlit keyboard, dedicated graphics for heavier gaming or creative workloads, or a touchscreen for pen input should look elsewhere.

The Specification That Decides Fit

The 16GB DDR4 memory is soldered and not upgradeable, so the amount you buy is the amount you keep for the life of the device. If your workflow regularly exceeds 16GB — large virtual machines, heavy video timelines or extensive browser tab counts — this laptop will hit a hard ceiling.

Questions about this item

How loud and warm does the Ryzen 7 7730U get when the laptop runs all day?

The Ryzen 7 7730U is a 15 W processor with integrated Radeon graphics, so typical office workloads keep fan noise low and surface temperatures comfortable for lap use.

What cables or peripherals must I already own to use the HDMI 2.1 port?

A standard HDMI cable is all that is required; the port drives external monitors or TVs directly without adapters or docks.

Will my older DDR4 SO-DIMM modules work if I want to expand the 16 GB later?

The system uses DDR4 memory, so compatible DDR4 SO-DIMMs can be added, but the 16 GB already installed fills the usable capacity for most everyday tasks.
