Everyday laptop with Ryzen 7 7730U

The Acer Aspire Go 15 AG15-42P-R917 is a new 15.6-inch laptop built for daily office work, study and light content consumption. It ships with Windows 11 Pro, 16 GB of DDR4 memory and a 512 GB PCIe NVMe SSD. A Dockztorm wireless mouse is included in the box.

Eight-core processor at 4.5 GHz boost

The AMD Ryzen 7 7730U delivers eight cores and sixteen threads with a maximum boost clock of 4.5 GHz and 16 MB of L3 cache. This level of multi-threaded performance decides whether the machine can handle heavy multitasking, virtual machines or moderate creative workloads. Buyers who need discrete graphics or higher sustained clocks should look elsewhere.

Integrated graphics and 60 Hz FHD panel

The AMD Radeon integrated GPU drives the 1920 x 1080 60 Hz LCD without a dedicated video memory pool. The bundled wireless mouse adds immediate point-and-click convenience, while the 51 Wh battery and 65 W adapter determine unplugged runtime. Users who want high-refresh gaming or external GPU support cannot use this configuration.

Questions about this item

What does the 4.5 GHz boost on the Ryzen 7 7730U actually deliver in daily work?

The 8-core, 16-thread processor reaches 4.5 GHz for short bursts, so office apps, web browsing and light multitasking feel snappy while the base 2.0 GHz keeps thermals and battery draw in check.

What external display bandwidth does the USB 3.2 Type-C port support?

The USB 3.2 Type-C connector carries data at up to 10 Gbps and can drive an external monitor through its native DisplayPort alt mode, while the HDMI port handles a second screen at 1920 x 1080 60 Hz.

Will a standard 2280 NVMe stick fit the internal slot?

The 512 GB PCIe NVMe SSD already occupies the single M.2 slot, so adding another drive would require replacing the existing module rather than installing a second one.
