Acer Aspire Go 15 Business Laptop

The Acer Aspire Go 15 is a 15.6 inch Full HD business laptop powered by an AMD Ryzen 7 7730U processor with 8 cores and 16 threads. It comes with 24GB of DDR4 memory and a 1TB NVME SSD running Windows 11 Pro. The silver chassis includes a 720p webcam and a standard non-backlit keyboard.

Who This Suits and Who Should Look Elsewhere

This laptop suits professionals who need a 15.6 inch display with 1920 x 1080 resolution, a wired RJ-45 Ethernet port and HDMI 2.1 output for external monitors. It also fits users who want Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity with three USB ports including one USB Type-C 3.2. Buyers who require a backlit keyboard or a touchscreen panel should consider other models.

The Deciding Specification

The single specification that decides fit is the AMD Ryzen 7 7730U processor with a maximum boost clock of 4.5 GHz and integrated AMD Radeon graphics. This CPU delivers 8 cores and 16 threads for multitasking and light content creation without a discrete GPU. If your workload demands dedicated graphics or a higher core count, this configuration will not meet that need.

Questions about this item

How do I install the single 1TB NVME SSD and what step do people miss?

The laptop ships with the 1TB NVME SSD already installed; the step users miss is confirming the drive appears in the BIOS before first boot.

Which component will need replacement first — the 45W power supply or the 3-Cell battery?

The 3-Cell battery will degrade before the 45W power supply and is the part most likely to need replacement.

What thermal limit appears first when the Ryzen 7 7730U runs at 4.5GHz continuously?

Sustained 4.5GHz operation hits the cooling capacity of the slim chassis, causing the processor to throttle to lower clocks.
