Versatile 2-in-1 for work and study

The Acer Chromebook Plus Spin 514 is a 14.0 inch convertible laptop with a 360-degree hinge that moves between laptop, tent, stand and tablet modes. It runs Chrome OS with integrated Google AI and ships new with an Intel Core i5-1334U processor, 8GB LPDDR5X memory and a 512GB PCIe NVMe SSD.

Step up from older Chromebooks

The 10-core i5-1334U with 12MB cache and a 4.6GHz max turbo replaces dual-core or quad-core models that struggle with heavy multitasking. The jump is worth it when you keep dozens of tabs open, run Linux apps or need faster compile times on the move.

Simple setup with few pitfalls

Chrome OS configures itself on first boot and the SSD is already installed, so there is no hardware assembly. The main issues are forgetting the Google account credentials needed for AI features and overlooking the privacy shutter when the 1080p camera stays dark.
