15.6" 144Hz Gaming Laptop

The Acer Nitro 5 AN515-58-525P combines a 12th Gen Intel Core i5-12500H processor with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Laptop GPU. A 15.6 inch Full HD IPS panel runs at 144Hz for fluid motion. The system ships with 8GB of DDR4 3200MHz memory and a 512GB PCIe Gen 4 SSD. Windows 11 Home is pre-installed. Killer Wi-Fi 6 AX1650 and Killer Ethernet E2600 handle network traffic.

Who This Suits

This laptop suits gamers who want a 144Hz display and RTX 3050 graphics in a 15.6 inch chassis. It also fits students or creators needing a portable Windows 11 machine with a backlit keyboard and dual-fan cooling. Buyers who want more storage than 512GB or more memory than 8GB should look at other configurations. Those requiring a higher-tier GPU or a larger screen will need a different model.

Installation & Common Issues

The laptop arrives ready to use; Windows 11 Home completes its setup on first boot. Two DDR4 slots allow memory upgrades to a 32GB maximum, and a second PCIe M.2 slot plus a 2.5 inch drive bay provide extra storage options. A frequent issue is the single 8GB module running in single-channel mode, which can limit CPU performance in some titles. Adding a matching 8GB stick restores dual-channel bandwidth. The dual-intake, quad-exhaust cooling system manages heat, but sustained loads may still cause fan noise.
