15.6-inch 165 Hz Gaming Laptop

The Acer Nitro V combines a 15.6-inch FHD IPS panel running at 165 Hz with an Intel Core i5-13420H processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5050 graphics. It ships with 32 GB of DDR4 memory and a 1024 GB SSD, running Windows 11 Home. A backlit keyboard and 720p webcam complete the core feature set for gaming and everyday work.

Suits 1080p gamers and multitaskers; not for 4K

The 8 GB GDDR7 GPU and 165 Hz 1080p screen target smooth frame rates at native resolution. Content creators who need colour-accurate 4K output or developers compiling massive codebases on battery should look at higher-tier mobile workstations instead.

GPU VRAM decides 1080p headroom

The RTX 5050 provides 8 GB of GDDR7 video memory, which is the single spec that determines whether modern titles run at high settings without texture streaming issues. If your workflow demands more VRAM, this configuration will not meet that requirement.

Questions about this item

Will the 15.6-inch 165 Hz panel fit in a standard 15-inch laptop sleeve?

The chassis measures 14.26 x 9.44 x 0.93 inches, so a sleeve sized for a traditional 15.6-inch model will accommodate it.

Can the single Thunderbolt 4 port drive two external 1080p monitors at once?

Thunderbolt 4 supports daisy-chaining or a dual-display dock, so two 1920 x 1080 screens can run from that one port.

Does the 32 GB of DDR4 memory leave any slots free for a future upgrade?

The 32 GB configuration typically fills both SO-DIMM slots, so adding more RAM would require replacing the existing modules.
