What this laptop is and who it targets

The Acer Nitro V 15 pairs an Intel Core i5-13420H 8-core processor with an RTX 4050 6 GB GDDR6 GPU and 32 GB DDR5 4800 memory. A 15.6 inch 1920 x 1080 IPS panel runs at 165 Hz for smooth motion in fast games. It ships with Windows 11 Home and a 512 GB PCIe SSD.

Who it suits and who should look elsewhere

The 165 Hz screen and 6 GB GPU suit competitive shooters and esports players who value frame-rate over resolution. Content creators needing wider colour coverage than 45 % NTSC or a larger colour volume should consider a panel with higher gamut. The single 512 GB drive may limit users with large media libraries.

The spec that decides fit

The 165 Hz 15.6 inch FHD display is the single specification that determines whether this machine matches your workflow; if you need higher refresh, broader colour or a different resolution, this panel will not meet the requirement.

Questions about this item

Can the 32 GB DDR5 4800 memory or the 512 GB PCIe SSD be upgraded later?

Both the DDR5 memory and the PCIe SSD are replaceable, so you can add capacity or speed when needed.

What thermal limit appears first during long gaming sessions on the RTX 4050 6 GB GDDR6?

The GPU and CPU share a cooling system, so sustained loads will hit the GPU temperature ceiling before the CPU throttles.

How loud do the fans get and what is the surface temperature when the i5-13420H runs at 4.6 GHz all day?

Fan noise rises to a noticeable level and the keyboard deck warms up, but the chassis stays within normal operating limits.
