15.6 inch 165Hz gaming display

The 15.6 inch panel runs at 165Hz with a 1920 x 1080 IPS anti-glare surface rated at 250 nits and 45% NTSC colour coverage. A 16:9 aspect ratio and thin bezels keep the frame compact for a portable gaming laptop.

Sustained load on 8-core hybrid CPU

The Intel Core i5-13420H combines four performance cores at 2.1 GHz with four efficient cores at 1.5 GHz, reaching 4.6 GHz turbo across 12 threads. Under prolonged workloads the hybrid architecture balances heat and throughput so clock speeds remain stable rather than spiking briefly.

Thunderbolt 4 and Wi-Fi 6 connectivity

One USB-C port delivers Thunderbolt 4 at 40Gbps for data, power delivery and DisplayPort 1.4 video out. Wireless uses MediaTek Wi-Fi 6 MT7920 with Bluetooth 5.1, while HDMI 2.1 and three USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports handle legacy peripherals.

Questions about this item

How loud and hot does the Core i5-13420H and RTX 4050 get during all-day gaming?

The 8-core i5-13420H and RTX 4050 6 GB GDDR6 are cooled by Acer's dual-fan system; sustained loads push fan speed higher but stay within typical gaming-laptop thermal limits.

What must I already own to use the Thunderbolt 4 port at 40 Gbps?

A Thunderbolt 4 or USB4 cable and a compatible dock, monitor or SSD that supports 40 Gbps data, DisplayPort 1.4 video and Power Delivery.

Will my older USB 3.0 mouse and HDMI 1.4 monitor work with the Nitro V 15?

Yes, the three USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports and the HDMI 2.1 output are backward compatible with USB 3.0 and HDMI 1.4 devices.
