Product identity

The Acer Nitro V 16 is a 16.0 inch Windows 11 gaming laptop built around an AMD Ryzen AI 5 340 six-core processor that reaches 4.8 GHz. It pairs an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 laptop GPU with 8 GB of GDDR7 memory, 32 GB of DDR5 4800 system memory and a 2 TB PCIe SSD. The 1920 x 1200 WUXGA panel refreshes at 180 Hz and the chassis measures 14.17 x 10.85 x 0.96 inches at 5.4 pounds.

Who it suits

Buyers who want a 16 inch high-refresh display, current-generation RTX 5060 graphics and 32 GB of RAM in a single package will match this spec sheet. Shoppers needing a touchscreen, a fingerprint reader or a smaller form factor should look at other models because this unit has a non-touch screen, no fingerprint reader and a 16 inch footprint.

Deciding specification

The single figure that decides fit is the 180 Hz WUXGA display combined with the RTX 5060 8 GB GDDR7 GPU; if the target workload needs that refresh rate and that graphics tier the laptop qualifies, otherwise a different screen or GPU tier should be chosen.

Questions about this item

Will the 16.0 inch 1920 x 1200 180Hz panel fit my existing laptop bag?

The chassis measures 14.17 x 10.85 x .96 inches and weighs 5.4 pounds; compare those dimensions with your bag's laptop compartment.

Can I run the display at 180 Hz over the HDMI 2.1 port to an external monitor?

Yes, the HDMI 2.1 output supports high refresh rates, so a compatible external display can run at 180 Hz.

Is the 2 TB PCIe SSD user-replaceable or do I need to buy a larger drive now?

The drive uses a standard PCIe form factor and the laptop is serviceable, so you can swap in a larger PCIe SSD later if required.
