16-inch WQXGA 180Hz Gaming Laptop

The Acer Nitro V 16S is a 16.0-inch gaming laptop built around a 2560 x 1600 IPS panel running at 180 Hz. It targets players who want high refresh rates and crisp visuals in a portable Windows 11 Home machine. The AMD Ryzen 7 260 processor with 8 cores and 16 threads pairs with dedicated NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 graphics for demanding titles and multitasking. A backlit keyboard and Wi-Fi 6 plus Bluetooth 5.3 round out the core feature set.

RTX 5070 8GB GDDR7 Graphics

The single specification that decides fit is the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 GPU with 8GB GDDR7 memory. This dedicated card delivers the ray tracing and DLSS performance needed for modern AAA games at the panel's native resolution and refresh rate. Without this tier of graphics the 180 Hz display could not be fully utilised in current titles. Buyers should match this GPU to their expected workload before purchasing.

7-in-1 Dock with 1TB Storage

The bundled docking station set adds a 7-in-1 dock that includes 1TB of extra storage, a 32GB MicroSD card, data and charging cables, and a cleaning cloth. This expands the single USB-C, two USB-A, and HDMI 2.1 ports into a richer desktop-style connectivity hub. The additional terabyte and card reader directly increase capacity for game libraries and media transfers.

Questions about this item

How does the 180 Hz panel behave once Windows 11 Home is running?

The 16-inch IPS screen refreshes at 180 Hz at its native 2560 x 1600 resolution, so motion stays smooth in fast-paced titles without needing to lower detail settings.

What does the single HDMI 2.1 port actually support on this laptop?

HDMI 2.1 carries the RTX 5070 output to an external monitor or TV at the display's native timing, and the same port also feeds the included 7-in-1 dock for extra peripherals.

Will the 14.1 x 10.4 x 0.79 inch chassis fit a standard 16-inch laptop sleeve?

At 14.1 inches wide, 10.4 inches deep and 0.79 inches thick, the notebook matches typical 16-inch sleeve dimensions and weighs 4.63 pounds for easy daily carry.
