Acer Nitro V 16S laptop

The Acer Nitro V 16S is a 16-inch gaming laptop built around an AMD Ryzen 7 260 eight-core processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 GPU with 8GB GDDR7 memory. It ships with 16GB DDR5 4800 RAM and a 2TB PCIe SSD. The 16.0 WUXGA IPS panel runs at 1920 x 1200 resolution and 180Hz refresh rate. Windows 11 Home and an Office 2021 licence are pre-installed.

Connectivity and expansion

Three USB-A 3.2 ports, one USB-C 3.2 port, an HDMI output, a Gigabit Ethernet jack and a MicroSD card reader handle peripherals and external displays. Killer AX1650i Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth provide wireless links. The chassis measures 14.08 x 10.39 x 0.79 inches and weighs 4.6 pounds, leaving room in a backpack for accessories. A 4-zone RGB backlit keyboard and integrated webcam complete the feature set.

Thermals and power in use

The 3.8GHz base clock and 5.1GHz max boost on the Ryzen 7 260 combine with the RTX 5060 to deliver high frame rates while the cooling system manages heat across the 0.79-inch profile. Fan noise stays moderate during typical gaming sessions and drops to a low level for office work. The 802.11ac wireless link and wired Ethernet keep latency low without adding thermal load. Power draw scales with workload, staying efficient for everyday tasks.
